These terms apply to your use of DEIV. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy.
The service
DEIV Intelligence is a free, independent analysis tool for players of the browser game Sim Companies. It estimates costs, profits, plans and other figures from public game data and from the data you enter. Access is protected by a shared access code that the operator gives out.
DEIV is read-only towards the game: it never signs in to Sim Companies for you and never plays, trades, buys or sells on your behalf.
Free of charge
DEIV is provided free of charge. It has no paid plans, purchases, subscriptions, donations or advertising, and it never asks for payment details.
Estimates, not advice
DEIV's figures are estimates based on models, on public data that may be incomplete or out of date, and on the information you provide. They are not guaranteed and are not financial, investment or professional advice. What happens in the game depends on the game and on other players, and may differ from DEIV's estimates. You remain responsible for your decisions in the game.
Acceptable use
These rules apply to everyone who uses DEIV. Do not:
- pass on the access code unless the operator allows it;
- try to access other visitors' data, the operator's console or any part of DEIV that is not offered to you;
- probe or attack DEIV's security, except to report a vulnerability responsibly as described in Data & Security;
- overload DEIV, send it automated requests, or use it to send large numbers of requests to Sim Companies or other services;
- use DEIV against the law or against Sim Companies' own terms.
Independence from Sim Companies
DEIV is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Sim Companies s.r.o. or SimcoTools. Sim Companies' own terms continue to apply to your use of the game. Game names are used only to refer to the game.
Content and intellectual property
- DEIV's software, design, artwork (building renders, the port map, the product icons and the DEIV mark) and texts belong to the operator, unless stated otherwise.
- Some interface icons are adapted from Feather (MIT License), Lucide (ISC License) and Google Material Icons (Apache License 2.0).
- Game names, data and content belong to Sim Companies s.r.o. or its licensors. Company names and logos are chosen by the players who run them; where the SimcoTools data gives a company a logo, DEIV shows a copy kept on its server (downloaded from the game's image host), and the company's initials otherwise.
- Your data remains yours. DEIV uses it only to provide the service to you.
Credits & Third-Party Notices lists the third-party material and its licences.
Availability and changes
The operator may change, suspend or end DEIV, limit features for visitors, or change the access code. The operator may withdraw access from anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using DEIV at any time.
Best Company, Target Planner and Optimize My Company are available to visitors only with the operator's approval, which you request in DEIV. Each approval gives authorized runs for the tool you asked for (or, if the operator chooses, for any of the three). A run that delivers a result is used, even when the result is partial or finds nothing; a run stopped by a technical failure is not counted. Approvals are free and are not a subscription; the operator may withdraw an unused one at any time. Results are estimates (see “Estimates, not advice”).
Your data and backups
Your workspace lives in your browser. Browsers can delete stored data, for example when space runs low or site data is cleared, so download a backup regularly from Local Data & Backup. The operator cannot recover data that existed only in your browser.
Liability
This section is a draft pending legal review. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law. DEIV's figures are estimates, not advice (see “Estimates, not advice”).

The operator may update these terms. The version and date at the top of the page identify the current text. How changes take effect is pending legal review.
